Veterinarians

Dr. Jeffrey Glover, Owner

I was born in Athens, Ohio and lived there until I was 13 years old. I moved to Stockdale, Texas where I graduated from high school. I enjoyed anything outdoors, especially, fishing, camping, and baseball. I started college at Texas Lutheran University, in Seguin, TX and earned a bachelor’s degree in biology. I married my wife Donna and had our first son, Weston, before leaving for veterinary school. After receiving my D.V.M. from Texas A&M we moved to the Rio Grande Valley where I started my career as a mixed animal veterinarian. After a few years we had our second and third sons, Clayton and Travis. We then moved to Floresville, TX. I worked as an Associate Mixed Animal practitioner and had our fourth son Carson and our only girl Laramie. I left that practice and started Glover Veterinary Services, a house-call practice while at the same time working at a small animal emergency hospital in San Antonio. After a few years we then renovated a farm house into a veterinary hospital and opened full time which is now known as Animal Crossing Veterinary Hospital. In 2013 we began planning for our current hospital and moved into our new hospital in December 2016.

Dr. Aaron Rode

I was born and raised in the Texas Hill Country. While growing up on my family’s ranch in Llano County, I was active in sports, 4-H, and student government. After graduating from Llano High School, I received a Bachelor of Science in Construction Science from Texas A&M. I then started working as a residential construction manager in San Antonio. Shortly thereafter, I married my beautiful wife Agatha aka Aggie. After working in the construction industry for six years and Aggie graduating from St. Mary’s Law School, we wanted a change. I had always wanted to work in agriculture, so I decided to go back to school to be a veterinarian. While in vet school, we welcomed our son, Wyatt, and a short 11 months later our daughter, Charlotte, into the world. I graduated from Texas A&M Veterinary School in 2017 and began my career at Animal Crossing Veterinary Hospital as a mixed animal practitioner. In 2022, our family was blessed with the addition of our second son, Everett. I enjoy all parts of mixed animal practice but particularly like large animal practice and surgery. In my free time, I enjoy hunting, fishing, and camping with my family.

Dr. Megan Clark

I was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. I attended the University of South Florida where I received my Bachelor of Biology in Integrative Animal Science. During my undergraduate studies, I volunteered for a spay and neuter clinic, and Big Cat Rescue in Tampa. I worked as a technician while going to school full time for 4 years before being accepted into veterinary school. In March of 2015, I was accepted to Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and spent 2 1/2 years there before attending Texas A&M for my clinical year. I have been with Animal Crossing for 4 years. My husband and I are expecting our first child in June. During my free time, I enjoy hiking, fishing, and spending time with my family and fur babies, Ziggy and Merida.

Dr. Jake Johnson

I was born in Carrollton, Texas and lived there until moving to San Antonio when I was 11 years old. I graduated from MacArthur High School and then went on to receive my Bachelor of Science in Animal Science at Texas A&M in 2017. As an undergraduate, I focused my studies on Beef Cattle and Small Ruminants and spent each summer working as a technician at different mixed animal veterinary practices. I was accepted to the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University, and will graduate in May 2023. During veterinary school, I focused my elective coursework on large animal medicine and balanced my clinical studies between both large and small animal rotations. After graduation, I am excited to be beginning my career as a mixed animal practitioner at Animal Crossing Veterinary Hospital. I particularly have enjoyed working with food animals and exotic hoofstock, however my goal is to provide quality medical care for all animals, large or small. In my spare time I enjoy anything outdoors, including hunting, fishing, and hiking. I also value spending time with my family.
